Terms of use
The short version: Squeezin makes short links for free, with no ads and no signup. Use it for honest links. Don’t use it for phishing, malware, spam, scams or anything illegal. If a link breaks the rules, anyone can report it, and we can take it down. The rules in detail are in our Acceptable use policy.
Squeezin is not live yet. This website shows a preview, and nothing made here is a working link. These terms describe the service as it is being built. Anything marked planned is not available today.
1. Who we are
Squeezin is a division of Factory Zero Pte. Ltd., Singapore (“we”). Contact: contact@squeez.in. Our privacy practices are in the data policy.
2. What these terms cover
- The website at squeez.in, including the link preview, the check pages and this site’s other pages.
- Short links: a link we make for you, of the form squeez.in/code, which sends visitors on to the destination you chose.
- Check pages: the page at squeez.in/code+ that shows what became of a link and where it goes.
- Reports and takedowns: the report button on a check page, and what we do with the reports we receive.
- The MCP server and API for agents planned. Not live yet, and no agent keys are issued yet.
By creating a link, using a check page or filing a report, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, don’t use the service.
3. Making links
- No account is needed to make a link. Links can have a random code, an easy-to-say code or a custom ending of 3 to 30 letters, digits or hyphens, if the ending is free.
- Destinations must be web addresses that start with http:// or https://. We refuse a destination that is already a squeez.in link, or one that is not a public web address.
- Expiry: you can choose never, 24 hours, 7 days or after the first click. An expired link stops working and shows an “expired” page.
- Limits apply to keep the service working for everyone. As it stands, an anonymous visitor can make 20 links an hour, file 10 reports an hour and run 30 checks an hour. We measure these per network address, using a hash that changes every day. We don’t store the address itself.
- You are responsible for the links you make and for where they lead. Don’t share a manage token with anyone you don’t trust: anyone who has it can expire or erase that link.
4. Check pages
Every link has a check page. It shows the link’s status, its destination, the redirects we followed to reach the destination, and the title of the page we read there. We fetch the destination from our servers, not from your browser. We don’t follow the redirects to private, local or internal addresses, and we don’t fetch any address that contains a username or password.
A check page is a description, not a guarantee. The check page doesn’t yet tell you whether a destination is safe. A safety check against Google Safe Browsing is planned, and until it is live, a check page does not say a link is safe.
5. Reports and takedowns
Anyone can report a link from its check page, with no account. You choose one reason: spam, phishing, malware, scam or other. You can add details of up to 2,000 characters. The reasons are the same as in our Acceptable use policy.
A person on our team reviews each report and decides one of two things:
- Takedown. The link stops sending visitors to its destination. Visitors see a page that says the link was removed. The link’s check page shows it as taken down. We keep the link’s record and the report, as the record of the decision.
- Dismiss. We take no action on the link, and we record the decision.
We may also take a link down without a report, if we find it breaks these terms or the Acceptable use policy. We may refuse new links from a source that repeatedly breaks them.
Appeals. If you think a takedown was a mistake, write to contact@squeez.in with the link’s code and your reasons. We check the record of the decision and the report, and we reply. Each decision and its note are kept as the appeal record. There is no separate appeal form yet.
6. Accounts, handles and paid plans planned
There are no accounts today. Planned options are a handle (squeez.in/yourname, $2 once), Pro (your own domain, changing where links go, and two years of click counts, $3 a month) and paid agent use. None of these are for sale yet, and nothing is charged. If we open them, we will publish their full terms before anyone pays.
7. Your content
Destinations are public: anyone who opens a link, or its check page, can see where it goes. You keep your rights in what you link to. You give us the right to store the destination, show it on check pages and redirect visitors to it, for as long as the link exists.
8. Our rights to act
We may take down a link, expire it, or suspend a source’s ability to make links, when we reasonably believe it breaks these terms or the Acceptable use policy, or when the law requires it. Where we can, we tell the person who made the link why. We may pass a report to the hosting provider or to the authorities when the law requires it.
9. Changes and availability
We are building Squeezin, and features may change or be removed. We don’t promise that the service is always available. We will post changes here with a new date, and where a change matters to you, we will tell you before it takes effect where we can. If we close the service, we will give notice where we can, and say what happens to links that are still live.
10. Warranties and liability
The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, to the extent the law allows. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability is limited. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under consumer law that cannot be limited.
11. Governing law and disputes
The governing law, the courts that hear disputes, and any consumer provisions for people in the European Union and the United Kingdom are to be confirmed in legal review before launch.
12. Contact
Questions, appeals and legal notices: contact@squeez.in. Data requests: privacy@squeez.in.
